Hi RBW Members, I am looking for some Dia-Compe 980 cantilever brakes to go on the front of my 1994 Bridgestone MB-1 retro build. I was using a set of one of the Dia-Compe 980 brakes that originally came on my 1986 Mongoose ATB along with other parts that I still had from that bike when I warrantied the frame, but moved the set to my 1986 Schwinn Voyageur touring bike when I revised the build on it. I put a set of Dia-Compe 987 brakes on there to replace it, but would really like to get some 980s to better fit the look and style of this bike build.
Willing to go with the Dia-Compe 982 on the build, if that is what I can find. Those look pretty nice in comparison to the 980. I have a one wheels worth of Dia-Compe 960 brakes that I can trade. Was going to use it on the rear of the Schwinn Voyageur and move that 980 to the front of the Bridgestone MB-1, but decided that I prefer to leave those on there. I also would be willing to trade a bikes worth set of Dia-Compe 984 brakes for a complete bikes worth set of 980 or 982 brakes. I also have some Dia-Compe 986 and 987 brakes that I could trade.
