One of the cool things about long rides is discovering what you can do under bad circumstances. So if you ride 12 hours in the rain you discover that you can do it which gives you confidence next time you're out riding in the rain. I knew it won't Fiero riding in the rain and whatever temperature you happen to be in at the time because you'll know what works in that environment I had a put off successfully.
