John G -- I never did a conversion but I moved through two Riv's (Bleriot & Slauki) onto Jeff Lyon's L'avecaise 650b model and I agree -- this configuration offers what feels like nearly the best of many ideas rolled into one (with easy option-able switch-outs) for our area.
