Thanks, all! I've tried the many and various iterations suggested. Yes, in 
the pictures there is tilt and a straighter bag might lift the buckles. It 
doesn't. The buckles are lower than work, so the solution is to change the 
closure system.

TrunkSacks are great, but there is a reason all that platform is available. 
For putting things on. Grin.
