I have SKS P45's on my quickbeam right now, and they are extra tough. I had these same ones on another bike before too. They've seen some action that IMO more than proved their mettle in the toughness category. I put a put a homemade mud-flap on the front fender, and with 35mm tires they give great coverage. I have the rear set up with a little more clearance towards the back, so that I can still get the rear wheel off without any trouble. I think what's nice about the SKS fenders is that they can be removed/ reinstalled in about 5 minutes tops.
