Joe, the pedals that came on my Appaloosa are known as VP Push-N2 pedals. I like them a lot and so bought 2 more pairs for $29 each on Amazon. They are tough and smooth and seem serviceable. I say they seem serviceable because I haven't had to do anything to the originals other than tighten the lock nut under the dust cap a couple of times. I ride the Appaloosa a lot and they are stil going strong after almost a year. I put another pair on my Polyvalent and have a spare pair. Really good cheap pedals. Super grippy, thin and reflectors!
