The Thunder Burt is an excellent tire, and rolls well on pavement - 
especially the LiteStar variant.

If you considering that tire, you might also look at the Clement X'plor MSO 
in 700x50. I've been riding the 40mm version pretty much exclusively 
throughout this weirdly snowless winter, and they have done very well. 
Fast, quiet and comfy.
