Like a few others have mentioned, the make does matter. in another life, I was an avid motorcyclist, and have owned a whole array of bikes. On my BMWs, I never felt self-conscious or worried about theft. On my Harleys, however, it was just the opposite. I couldn't even feel comfortable leaving it outside a cafe because they attract Soooo much attention -- all the wrong kind. Rivendells are like the BMW motors, built well, comfy, and no one thinks they are sexy enough to steal.

I'm in the exact same group. I just got my Hillborne 3 weeks ago and I was freaking out about the amount of $$ I spent. Well 3 weeks later I couldn't be happier. I'm riding to work almost everyday, and 2 nights ago I rode in the rain for hours, and its the happiest I've felt on a bike since I was a kid. I'm hitting potholes and rocks and it feels like I'm driving a cadillac. I say pull the trigger. You won't be sorry. As for locking check this article out: http://www.sheldonbrown.com/lock-strategy.html Here's some pictures : http://www.flickr.com/photos/47081...@n00/sets/72157622996725454/ Last thought, get the interrupter brakes! ;+) Jason -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
