Thanks for the kind comments.  The documentation is all due to my friend 
Ellison. WE were making fun of him for taking so many selfies and other 
pictures, but in the end, he captured some nice shots.  

The appaloosa is, I think, destined to be my favorite bike.  I had been a 
bit torn between it and an atlantis, but am now glad that I chose the 
appaloosa.  It works great with drops, although I did size down for that. 
And the sizing down also allowed me a more comfortable standover.  So far 
the long chainstays seem like a great choice for a touring style setup.  I 
think I'll probably switch to a nitto 27f front rack and end up running 
fore and aft panniers for any long bike trips, but that'll still have to 
wait a while.
