In the new Riv Reader, Grant notes four shoes that he liked for riding. The Dromartis look great but are probably out of my budget... For comfort, my favorites with a pair of single strap Carnac's that I bought on sale in the mid-90s that continue to this day on someone else's feet along with the rest of the bike. Unfortunately for me, I don't use Look style pedals anymore so I have been searching for the best SPD and 'regular' shoes since then. I can tell you a lot of brands I don't like but I have not found anything that is really comfortable for day/week long rides.
