Indeed! I went on vacation for a week with my wife, my son, his high school friends and a few other parents to Mission Bay, San Diego. It was what my son wanted as a graduation trip and I really needed a lot of doing nothing to recover, so not having had a chance to ride much this year and having had a serious setback with my weight loss battles, I decided to take the Cheviot to ride around the area.
The rides were on the paved trail/lane/sidewalk that pedestrians and cyclists on beach cruisers and skateboarders share, so it was nice, slow and friendly. Most people ignored everyone else around them but there were no accidents, no impatient riders and barely any lycra roadies. Needless to say, I got complimented a few times by old ladies and regular guys on how beautiful the bike was. No one seemed to know anything about Rivendell, they just said "Beautiful Bike!". I smiled back and rang my Spur bell every now and then to alert people who were hogging the trail. René On Sat, Jul 8, 2017 at 6:22 PM, Patrick Moore <[email protected]> wrote: > ...
