I shipped a Choco-Moose last year..I don't remember it being $40. The best bet is to build your own box to the smallest size possible, then enter the weight and dimensions into the USPS Click-n-Ship calculator. You'll need a shipping address, so pick one kinda far from you to get a rough estimate of how pricey it could get.
