I want to use my Berthoud handlebar bag (GB28) from my drop bar bike

decaleur to reach down to the bag, and I am not lowering by bars.
I noticed that the Berthoud decaleur looks like it has alot of
downward reach to it.
There are (according to Peter Whiter's web site) two sizes, one with
more downward reach than the other. Looking at the Berthoud web site,
I see listed for the part they call the "fork" -- you'd call it the
arms, probably -- there's a select list with four sizes: 121, 90, 70 &
50. Not sure about the units, but am guessing they're mm.
Can I swivel it downward for max reach, or does it just stick out from
the stem straight?
Yes you can, as you can see below.
About how much drop could I get cm-wise depending on which length
extension I used?
I figure I will mount the Berthoud on-the-bag receiving rods just
above where my Compass decaleur flat bar on the bag is.
Then I can swap the bag from bike to bike as needed.
*But the main question is how much drop reach below the bars could I
get? Got pics of yours?*
This is a Berthoud 2886, same size as the GB28, and the bike is a 60
cm. The full size image is here:
