Glomitts (gloves with a flip over mitten) make a great under mit for extreme 
cold (-10˚F and below), when you never want much bare skin exposed even when 
you need manual dexterity (but you’ll only have it for 8.3 seconds, so work 
fast!).

In my experience with boiled wool mittens, buy to size. They fit the bars just 
fine (you can also buy the 4-ply with a curl already shaped into them, but I’ve 
never tried this).
