For a $30 pedal, my rebuild method of choice is to pry off the dustcap and inject as much grease with a grease gun as the axle tube will hold. But if the RMXs are like the GR-9 or the oddly named but even nicer Esprit, you can pry off the dustcap and access the locknut and cones and bearings. I've rebuilt Shimano mtb rattrap pedals with cones and bearings, though -- finicky but doable.
