At some point on yesterday's 2 Rock/Valley Ford I was asked about what it was I was eating with such delight. Actually, I think the comment came after I was observed bombing down a hill with a goofy grin and a muffin in my mouth (don't try this at home, or anywhere for that matter). Upon reaching the second control at (3) Rock and raising more than one eyebrow with my curious food purchase there (not a gel shot but a stack of salami), the topic came up again. Thus, I went into some detail about the remarkable anti-bonking properties of my buttered rye molasses muffins. Maybe the asker was just being polite, but either way these things are too good not to share.
