Gotcha, Steve. Now I’ve caught up with you, I learned a lot riding poser single
speed and even some riding poser fixed prior to getting the hardware. Of
course, until riding the ss/fixed hardware, it is difficult to know what is the
same in poser mode vs. the genuine article. From poser single speed I learned I
really liked the simplicity and that I could ride hills. From poser fixed
(riding a freewheel with pedals always engaged and moving forward, including
when braking), I learned it is likely more stable, but the experience is
naturally far less similar to actual fixed compared with poser ss to actual ss.
There is no way to simulate the flywheel connection.

With abandon,
Patrick
