Steve: Did you Chris/John consider at all having the rack attach to the brake mounts? Mafac used to make small racks that mounted to the Mafac posts. They are so small I suspect they had to be supplemented with a decaleur. I would be interested to see whether a rack close to the size of yours could not mount to the brake posts.
