My Sam is set up with a 1x9. I'm using a Shimano Altus rear derailleur , 12- 32 cassette . I'm using a Dura-Ace 9 speed bar end shifter mounted on a Paul Thumbie. I have a Sugino 36t on the front with a chain ring guard where the 46t chain ring used to be installed. The indexing with the Altus Derailleur is very smooth & crisp. I understand why Grant raves about this derailluer. Hope the picture loads upright. Jon
