Cross posting this for any informed RBW-listers who are not also on the
iboblist. Thanks.

All *informed* opinions, comments, and suggestions welcome!

Which of these tires would you choose if your criteria were first, low
rolling resistance, second durability, and third price, and if you wanted
to explore alternatives to the (wonderful) Elk Pass?

Conti GP 559 X 28 (one reviewer said these measured closer to 31 mm on his
unspecified rims).

Michelin Wild Run'R (1,000 points off for the stupid name), 26 X 1.3.

Kojak 26 X 1.35 (measures ~32 on 21 mm outside rim).

I know the Kojak.

My principal worries about the Conti and the Michelin are the actual
widths; I've used 26" Conti GPs before, years ago, and they measured 22-23
mm on narrow rims.

One gripe: idiot websites, mfrs' and vendors, that don't give you an easy
overview of available tires in different diameters and widths.

Thanks!
