Once you stockpile an assortment of stems you can dial in your optimum reach from the saddle to the bars.
The next obvious extension of this logic is to pursue additional frames with top tube dimensions that pair with the other stems to build as many bikes as possible with the optimum total reach. The quest for optimized bikes to consume the parts in your bin can go on for quite some time, and just when you think you were getting close.... (or running out of space)you will score a set of Phil hubs for $50 or a friend will give you another nitto stem they were not using, then it starts all over again....
