This lousy photo is all I have to share for now. It was taken from my iPhone while watching live on my iPad, haha. See that smile on his face? It stayed there, from the time he saw his new bike to the time he parked it at home. Also, the other man in the photo worked with Grant in his Bridgestone days. His name is Gene. Isn’t that something?
D rode the 5 miles home and Heather and I were waiting. He said he went “so fast” and thus overdid it and arrived home exhausted. He said he passed people left and right and was genuinely surprised. He wasn’t fast on his Specialized, and he and Heather had believed the Clem would be heavy. He felt like he was slipping off the Brooks (tilt that nose up!) but it was otherwise PERFECT. Gah!
