Here in Chicago I've been wearing the Riv possum hat w/ bill & ear
covers, pretty much exclusively.  If it's < 20F, I'll add a wool
balaclava and I'm fine!

To the OP (JoelMatthews?) yes, yesterday 2/27 was a fine day to head
out - Sheridan north is quite passable!
