Apropos of nothing but the dog theme of your post, I got to play chicken the
other day with a thirty-something riding his bike, apparently for the first
time, possibly ever, but surely with his dog on a leash. But the man seemed to
respond as though this was perfectly normal. I’ve not seen him since (or
before), so I hope they are alright. He, well, they, depending on the dog’s
ambitions of the moment, where heading toward me in my lane, never in their
lane. First aiming for a squirrel, then for me, then for another squirrel, then
for another dog. I stopped and watched in amazement as the chaos went by, the
guy seeming unphased despite being dragged hither and thither down the wrong
way lane of a small mountian town’s backroad. Fortunately for all involved, no
cars were seen, though they are a frequence, especially in summer.

Glad you are getting some good rides in with your ride-y dog. Grin.

With abandon,
Patrick
