Hi Roberta,  with this mechanism, the basket is wobbly by nature.  Feels 
like it may fall off, but it hasn't.   I think it will be fine for 10 lbs 
or so cargo (a little more maybe, on wider racks)  as long as you slow down 
on bumps.

It was 5-mile ride from the store.  It held up fine.
