I throw a Pentax MX with a 50mm f1.4 lens into my Sackville banana sack that is mounted on the choco moose handlebars on my Appaloosa and it seems to work well. I have a tube stuffed in the bottom of that bag for emergencies and it does a pretty good job of padding the camera.
