I ended up getting a beefy steel rack that is designed specifically for the 
Yepp Maxi rear seat with ez-fit window.
I was hesitant about using a rack adapter to fit a rear seat, so this 
solved all my problems.
It also fits a rear taillight as well. 
Got mine from Holland Bikeshop.
