Yes, we were so excited to see that Blug post. The bike does look huge, and
when the LBS assembled and wheeled it out to us, I trembled with fear. It
looked huge. Kid isn’t yet 5 feel and it’s perfect! Who knew?!? Well, the
Benefactor knew. “Fits just like I thought it would.” Brilliant!

I share your magical memories of riding wild and free as a child. I think part
of my desire that my sons should ride great bikes is due to my first bike
experience. At age 7 I got a bike. Finally. My very own bike - and it was
PURPLE and PINK. A Huffy Desert Rose my parents found at a garage sale and it
had been run over by the family’s vehicle. There was an ugly, rusty scar where
the dad had welded on it. It was nearly impossible to pedal it but I found a
way. I was never going to be fast but I got around. The neighbor girl got a new
Rainbow Brite bike and it pedaled like butter. Sometimes her mom would make her
share and she’d beg for her bike back after riding my funky Huffy.

Thus, my own kids have always had good bikes, but this one is really over the
top! And Lincoln will get it next. Such a wonderful, generous gift. We will
never, ever forget.
