It should work. The barcon adapters that Riv sells present a boss shape that is functionally identical to a frame boss. The thing to pay attention to is whether the first piece of your shifter assembly that slides onto the boss a piece that wraps around the contour of the frame downtube. If it does, then you can't use that piece on a barcon adapter, you have to remove that piece. The pictures of Edge Shifters that I find on the interwebs suggest that there is a piece that wants to wrap around a downtube, but only a little bit. If memory serves (this is over 20 years ago now) that piece is not removable. So my first guess is that it might work. I'd guess 65% likely that it will. Riv sells the pods and the Silver shifters separate, so I'd try the pods first and see if you can make it go. If you can't make it work, buy the silver shifters separate to go with your barcon pods and be happy with friction.
