I guess you could have put the gears in the back, but you have a TWENTY TWO 
tooth difference in the chainrings. You’d still need a 16 tooth difference in 
rear cogs to get equibalent gears (30x14/19/30), but that would require a 
cassette hub, a real derailleur hanger, more clamp-on stops, and maybe a chain 
minder or a narrow wide ring. 

This is a rad hack. I love it. You’ve got the gears you like. They are lower at 
the top than I can spin comfortably, but it’s not my bike.
