Beer likely would at least get the flat tire addressed quickly. The other very easy solution is to buy a Brompton (or Tern or probably any other folding bike) that will take little room in the garage and magically seems to adjust to fit any size rider quite nicely. Then you are always prepared and have a loaner ready for company too. Sounds like you probably need 2 to be safe.
