Weirdest comment from the peanut gallery in a long while. I was packing up packages at the Post when a guy about my age stopped at the door and said: “Amazon Asia, huh?”
After a few rounds of him trying to explain the “joke” as “that’s how they actually deliver packages in Asia” and then giving up and saying “I guess it’s not as good a joke as I thought,” my poor brain with all the noise (that no one but me likely even noticed) had no better response than: “The bicycle is a great form of transportation the world over.” I failed at my usual smile and wave. This was stand there dumbfounded at the levels of arrogance inherent in his statement with my head cocked and look stupid. It did that really well. Grin. Any odd comments lately?
