Google has, as promised some time ago, finally shut down goo.gl. No
more new goo.gl short links can be created. Existing goo.gl short links
will continue to work.
If you've been using goo.gl to create short URLs, it's tme to explore
alternative URL shorteners.
I was just over to bit.ly and found they have a little banner welcoming
those coming from goo.gl; clicking on it leads you to a process where
you can create an account. Personal use accts appear to be free.
