Another approach if you use MTB brakes and shifters (i.e. 22.2mm bar diameter) and want to switch between a flat/cruiser type bar and drop bars is to use the Soma Fab Gator Drop Bar. Depending on the other handlebar used there will likely be more cable/housing in one application than needed which effect positioning or use of a handlebar bag.
