Paul motolites are very powerful brakes. I had them on my Hunqapillar a couple of years ago. It's one of the most powerful mechanical brakes I've used. The response is very immediate, easy to set up. and very robust.
The flipside, when you brake it engages very quickly, giving a grabby feel. This happened even on my polished Atlas rims.
