Leah, The Clem rails work well with the backabike bag, and free up the top rack for load without interfering with the panniers. And Mark's correct ... the rack isn't seen with the bags on, and even less with a top load in addition. The only reason I can see for going Nitto instead is load assurance of Nitto, which seems engineered to handle more than the Clems, though rated the same for each, I believe (using different criteria). That is why I have Nitto on my bikes, because I jounce a load on rocks and roots at speed. Me lassies take a more sensible load and speed than I do. Grin.
