front rack and VO decaleur. For something as large and potentially heavy as
the Ostrich I'd recommend a rack and, if a rack, a decaleur seems the most
convenient way to keep it in place. For smaller loads, say up to 5 lb, I
myself would accept an unsupported bar bag as long as it was attached close
to the bars and not like the old Nitto Boxy which was unduly high and
for'ard.

I think Ryan Watson, sometime of this list, simply bolted an Ostrich to a
front rack. I tried toe straps, briefly, but they were unsatisfactory: the
bag moved about too much.
