I think the reason people are so excited about the Hillborne’s is that they resemble something of a more mainstream bike. I realize it’s not entirely true, but it seems like for several months, the only bikes you could buy from Riv had insanely long chain stays or were all step-thru mixtes. I know that a Gallop or a Platypus may inevitably be in my future, but people dig more traditional bikes as well. I’m a bit surprised the middle sizes are sold out so quickly.
