Joe P - I expect you're right. I bought an XO-1 and a Sam last year and the XO-1 didn't last long because despite being a great bike worthy of its accolades, it's well overshadowed by the Hillborne. It's maybe a bit less zippy, but the small concession there is paid back tenfold in ride quality. RBW makes a number of "all rounder" bikes today but I think the Sam is probably my favourite blend.
