+2 on the gear calulator Sheldon's calculator is a great way to compare the pros and cons of Triple vs Compact for me it comes down to whether the low gear will get me up the hills I need to climb in Hilly West Seattle? I just switched from a 50/34 11/34 to a 46/36/26 11/32 to get 3 extra low gears FWIW
