The 37 mm are definitely fatter than the 35s. They do have more grooves in the tread, but that doesn't seem to hurt anything other than picking up a few more tiny pebbles. I'm riding 37mm Paselas (non- tourguard) on my Quickbeam and they are my favorite so far. My impression is the 37mm Pasela sidewalls are noticeably thiner and more flexible than the bike's original Jack Brown Blues (kevlar-belted, 3000+ miles and still in good condition), and the ride feels more cushy and more lively. I was riding 35 mm Pasela Tourguards before I got the Quickbeam and I liked them fine, but to me 37mm roll better, both on pavement on rough gravel.
