I am in search of a drop bar similar to the Noodle, but offered in 25.4 clamp diameter and preferably as wide as possible (48-52cm target width). I’ve seen lots of comments and analysis on the M174 “Fairweather Allroad” bar and the RM013 “Dirt Drop” bar. Never tried either, but I rode the Noodle in 46cm for many years and would be looking for something similar.
I welcome any insights from folks with real-time experience with either of these bars. I also welcome alternative suggestions, provided that whatever you’re suggesting (A) actually exists and (B) can feasibly be purchased in the modern USA market. Used is great, or new. Usage is for a touring/allroad build I’m doing. This will be my bike for longer, self-supported tours, and I generally prefer to ride 50% in the hoods and 50% in the drops using bar end shifters. So, relatively shallow drop so I don’t end up too stretched out, and with enough forward reach on the hoods to comfortably ride on the “ramps.” What’ve y’all got?
