FS: Bleriot 61 cm
I am posting this for a friend who is not on the Rivendell list. He is looking to sell his Bleriot (61 cm) complete. He’s throwing in some bike-related paraphernalia as well, since he no longer cycles. Local pickup in the San Francisco Bay Area area is highly preferred. He and the bike are in Sacramento, and he is willing to meet someone halfway. If shipped, the buyer would pay packing and shipping. I helped him piece together his Bleriot. It was a standard Rivendell build for the period: Nitto stem and bars, Sugino cranks, Shimano shifters, MKS pedals, etc. (see build details below). He was a newbie, rode the bike on asphalt bike routes several dozen times over a couple of years, and then got too busy with work to continue cycling. The bike has been stored in his garage ever since. It is still in good condition. There are some paint chips and scratches here and there, which he has tried to detail accurately in the photos. Having just sat around for the better part of a decade, the bike could probably use a tune up and some new tubes and tires. Or treat it as your blank slate, part it out, and build it back up as you please. I have a Bleriot of my own and it is a fantastic bike, sadly discontinued. He is asking $1,500. His name is Amir, and you can contact him at [email protected] Photos: https://www.flickr.com/photos/193979568@N08/albums/72157719814875716 Since he is not on this list, I will help field any questions that may arise here. But for all logistics, please contact Amir directly. Geometry can be found on Cyclofiend's website: http://cyclofiend.com/rbw/bleriot/index.html Happy Bleriot-ing!
