Thanks for the comments Scott. Was scared off of wheelbuilding many years ago by a very good, but very cranky mechanic. After getting back into riding a few years ago, sort of made a promise to myself to try it at least once.
Might come in handy say, if, maybe, I purchase something like a Bob Brown 29er that's currently single speed and want to change it to a 1x9 at a future date.
