Well you're only about the 5000th person to ask this over the years ...... and as always the answer is the same ..... "well do ya' feel lucky today ?" Some people are okay with a couple of mm's clearance, most are not. Just ask yourself, what are you really gaining, is a few mm's really going to make a notable difference ? Where does this irrational urge to max out tires come from anyways ? You might at first, then you'll quickly forget about that tire too, and you're right back to where you started, just riding along ! Frankly, tires of themselves don't make as much difference as imagined and promised to do. I understand . The urge to defend our choices is often irresistible.
