It's long, but I love the surly big dummy or big fat dummy. They are just 
great riding bikes, loaded or empty. I've had several and they are all 
great bikes. It's long but not much longer than a clem (for some reason). 
Great riding bikes and you won't even notice 100lbs or so on the tail.
