Hey all,

Curious about your experiences running the Silver1 42/28 crankset (or
38/24, etc.) with a 10-speed chain. My 650B all-rounder has a full 2014
SRAM Apex 10-speed drivetrain except for a IRD Defiant 46/30 crank. Every
so often the 10-spd chain drops between the Defiant's rings and free-spins
like it’s in neutral (I think the circa-2014 Defiant is technically a
9-speed). I'd like to swap in my Silver1 42/28, but wondering what luck
you've had pairing the Silver1 with a 10-speed chain. It seems from earlier
posts* on the Owners Bunch that this works, but I wanted to double-check
before I swap.

Cheers,
WIll M in NY

*It seems some of you fixed 42/28 chain drops with FD height tweaks:
https://groups.google.com/g/rbw-owners-bunch/c/I7RgPzOEPxQ AND some
reported success with 42/28 shifting smoothly with modern chains
https://groups.google.com/g/rbw-owners-bunch/c/QNAR_Q7LD6g AND a few
reported low doubles like 42/28 very livable:
https://groups.google.com/g/rbw-owners-bunch/c/M6002Q2y85c . But I can't
seem to see specific answer to the 10-speed question.
