FWIW, a clarification -- I'm not saying that this bike is not worth $1500 - 
it absolutely is. That new fork, bars, brake calipers, etc. were not 
inexpensive alterations. My post was more a comment on the tendency some of 
us  (very much including me!) have to get a bike, plow $$ into changes, and 
then decide to move on. 

The changes Rollum has made make this great bike better with ability to fit 
tires up to 33 compared to the 28 max it could take prior. I'd imagine it 
rides that much better with the Ellis Cycles steel fork, too. He's done the 
work to make this even better for the Bob/Riv rider. Again, it's a very 
nice bike and whoever ends up with it will have all of the sorting done!
