wheelset acquired.

$299 for a time capsule set of Mavic A119 hoops laced to Deore XT M760
hubs. All silver, perfectly suited for this build. Super stoked! They were
built-never-ridden and for sale on consignment at a shop in SoCal. The
shops' ebay store led me to their website and a $20 coupon sealed the deal.
$329 shipped.

Half of this build will be comprised of discontinued but excellent
components. This gets me stoked.

Not mine but I’ve met the seller on rides.

phillybiketrader Professionally-built lightweight road dynamo wheelset. Low
miles and very little brake track wear.

Velocity A23 700c rims, 20H front and rear, black with machined side walls.
Tubeless-taped.

Front is an SP SV-9 front dynamo hub, 100mm. Note that the hub is slightly
noisy than my other dynamo hubs, but I ran it as-is for a bit with no
issues.

Rear is a DT Swiss 240 11-speed road hub, 130mm spacing. Some cassette bite
on the freehub body, but if you don't already know, these are designed to
be very serviceable and last forever.

$400

i’m in portland oregon. i guess i should have mentioned that there is some
flexibility on budget. target is $300 but if we had to spend $375 to get
something satisfactory i would be ok with it. and that my wife is lighter
than me so the rim doesn’t need to be super robust. 32h would be fine. i’ll
check out ben’s cycle. thanks all!

Second for Ben's Cycles if you can't find something locally. I've had them
build unusual wheels for me a few times. If I remember correctly, they
don't charge for building, so the prices tend to be less than competitors.
$300 used to be doable with Deore and an inexpensive rim...

Bens Cycles could probably build that wheelset with SUN CR-18 rims for
less than $300 shipped. Make sure to one of their 10% off coupons.

With $300 your budget, and given that ~$50 is going to get used up
shipping, then I expect where you are located may be relevant to finding
something within your budget. What region of the world are you in? If you
can find something local to you that's 50 extra dollars closer to making a
deal.

Hoping to find a 100/135 spaced, minimum 17mm internal rim width, maximum
$300, mostly silver (rims gotta be silver but hubs could be non-silver)
wheelset.

I can't find anything new. Have come close. Some 100/130 examples exist.
But curious if anyone might have a lead on something pre-owned?

No disk hubs allowed even if the rim is rim brake compatible. I just can't.
