1. The stoker is always right.
2. in case of confusion, refer to rule #1.
3. Never, ever say "she isn't pedaling". Never.

Yes, I have been a stoker. It is an interesting exercise in ceding
control to the captain, especially when you've got differing
expectations about descending speed. Yet I kept stoking.

Advantage - in the morning, when, perhaps, I was not quite awake, I
just had to pedal :-) And, heading into Vancouver BC on RSVP (great
ride!), I could navigate. We always collected a huge school of pilot
fish following us through town.

2 STP
2 RSVP
2 Reach the Beach
1 Portland Wheelman Spring Century (where I am told we broke 50mph
descending. I was told this a few years after the actual ride.)
Probably more that I have forgotten.

The captain and tandem have moved out of town; his wife is now his
stoker. She thanks me every time we talk for training him properly.
